In In The News, In The News - JPN, Nobby Hashizume

Mary Cain had withdrawn her spot in 1500m for World Indoor World Championships in Poland.  Now Heather Kampf of Team USA Minnesota (ASICS), who finished 3rd in Albuquerque, will represent USA.  Now Team USA Minnesota will have 2 athletes representing the Team USA.

Heather is better-known (perhaps too many people focus on this one incidence too much) for her gutsy fall-and-get-up-and-chase-down-to-win 600m indoor event in 2008 while competing for University of Minnesota.  I e-mailed her after that race and she simply responded: “Track was nice and bouncy and didn’t hurt me much at all!”  Wait, was there any DQ for that race??? ;o)  (sorry, couldn’t help!!)

Congratulations, Heather!!
