FRIDAY 1:00p – 4:00 pm Lydiard™ Shoes & Form Course – May 19, 2017
before the start of Lydiard™ I&II Coaches Certification Course
SPECIAL NOTE: Register now while space is still available!

Shoes: minimalist or motion-controlled, straight or curved last, rigid, cushioned, elevated, arch supports, orthotics, or just bare-foot? When it comes to footwear we are inundated with theories and often caught trying to discern good information from marketing hype. The same goes for form: forefoot or rearfoot strike, pronate or suppinate, long or short strides, cadence? What you may have been led to believe may be drastically slowing you down!

As a shoemaker by profession, Lydiard had a lot to say about shoes and form that still holds true today. As a young apprentice coach from Japan,  his disciple, Nobuya Hashizume, (known as Nobby in the running world) lived with Lydiard to learn his secrets of training.  This clinic combines Lydiard’s concepts with Nobby’s own extensive studies and will provide you with enlightening and basic concepts that hold true for both champions and joggers alike.

Bring your favorite training and racing shoes, and be prepared for a few exercises and drills. Understand that we at the Lydiard Foundation are not affiliated with any brand and are not selling you anything, but you may be keen afterwards to trade your current footwear for something faster.
