Arch Jelley is best known as a long-time coach of John Walker; 1976 Olympic 1500m gold medalist, the first man to go under 3:50 for the mile, the first man to have run 100 sub-4-minute-mile (and the one to have run second most number of sub-4-minute miles behind Steve Scott).  He had also consulted Rod Dixon on various occasions.
